SMS/Text Messaging Terms

Program Overview

Fieldbookly, operated by Dawn Labs Inc., provides an SMS messaging program that enables service businesses (such as plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, cleaners, landscapers, and other field service professionals) to send transactional text messages to their customers. These messages are appointment-related and service-related only — no promotional or marketing content is sent via SMS.

What Messages Will You Receive?

If you opt in, you may receive the following types of SMS messages from the service business you booked with:

  • Appointment confirmations
  • Appointment reminders
  • Service status updates (e.g., technician en route, job completed)
  • Invoice and payment notifications
  • Schedule change notifications

How Do You Opt In?

End users consent to receive SMS messages through one of the following methods:

  • Online Booking (Web Form): When booking an appointment on a Fieldbookly booking page (e.g., fieldbookly.fieldbookly.com), customers provide their phone number during Step 3 (Customer Details) and check a consent checkbox that reads: "By checking this box, I agree to receive appointment confirmations, reminders, and service updates via SMS from [Business Name] (powered by Fieldbookly). Frequency: 1-3 messages per appointment. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Reply HELP for help." The checkbox includes links to our SMS Terms, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service. This consent method is recorded as "WebForm" with a timestamp.
  • In-Person / Verbal: A service provider may ask their customer in person or over the phone: "May we send you SMS appointment reminders? You'll receive 1-3 messages per appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out anytime." The customer's verbal or written agreement is recorded with a timestamp and method ("InPerson" or "Verbal").
  • SMS Keyword: Customers may text START to the service provider's number to opt in. They receive a confirmation message with program terms. Recorded as "SMS" with a timestamp.

The following is a replica of the SMS consent checkbox that appears on the Fieldbookly online booking form during the Customer Details step. The checkbox is unchecked by default — customers must actively check it to consent. Consent is entirely optional — customers can complete their booking without checking the box, in which case no SMS messages will be sent to them.

By checking this box, I agree to receive appointment confirmations, reminders, and service updates via SMS from [Business Name] (powered by Fieldbookly). Frequency: 1-3 messages per appointment. This checkbox appears on every Fieldbookly booking page (e.g., https://[slug].fieldbookly.com) during Step 3 or Step 4 (Customer Details), directly below the phone number field. It is displayed for customers in the United States and Canada.

Message Frequency

You will receive approximately 1-3 text messages per appointment booked. Message frequency varies based on the number of appointments you schedule with a service provider. This is a transactional messaging program — messages are sent only in relation to appointments and services you have booked.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Please check with your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan. Fieldbookly and the service provider are not responsible for any charges imposed by your carrier.

How to Opt Out

You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying with any of the following keywords to any message you receive:

STOP • STOPALL • UNSUBSCRIBE • CANCEL • END • QUIT

Upon receiving your opt-out request, we will send you a one-time confirmation message acknowledging your request, and you will receive no further SMS messages from that service provider through Fieldbookly. Your opt-out is processed immediately and the opt-out timestamp is recorded in our system.

Reply HELP to any message to receive help information, including the service provider's contact details and instructions for opting out. You can also contact Fieldbookly support at support@fieldbookly.com.

Privacy and Data Protection

  • We do not sell, rent, share, or trade mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information with third parties or affiliates for promotional or marketing purposes.
  • Mobile numbers collected for SMS messaging are used solely for sending the transactional messages described on this page.
  • All consent data (opt-in timestamp, method, opt-out timestamp) is maintained as an audit trail for compliance purposes.
  • We enforce a pre-send consent check — messages are only sent to numbers with valid, active consent on file.

Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers (e.g., T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Rogers, Bell, Telus) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your wireless carrier.

Supported Carriers

SMS messages are supported on all major US and Canadian carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint (US), Rogers, Bell, Telus, Freedom Mobile (Canada), and their MVNOs.
